Hello and welcome back. We were talking with a friend the other day about the impact of COVID on our national passion – sports. Whether you’re an avid follower, expert participant or in the ‘just not interested’ camp, we all know sport is strongly infused into the psyche of our culture of who we are as a nation.

This year saw many unprecedented scenarios; we’ve had ‘hubs’ of teams living, training, and playing away from home, limited numbers of patrons attending games, Grand Finals played in other states, and a race that normally stops a nation with no spectators or fashion.

What an unusual year it’s been, yet we continued to show that Aussie spirit of humour, mateship, and shared cheering.

As we make the last few laps before we head down the home straight to the finish line of 2020, we hope that you and your loved ones are doing well, enjoying spending more time together and continuing to find things to smile and cheer about. With borders slowly reopening and the prospect of a shared Christmas lunch more and more likely, things are certainly looking up.

So, sit down, relax and enjoy a mini-break while you read our latest edition of TILT.

Best wishes and stay safe out there,
